Over the past few years, I have been writing and putting together my book for publishing.
I can't tell you what it is about yet, but should be released early 2019.
In the mean time I have found myself writing on other blog websites than my own blog. The interaction with other writers has been my main aim, and while I do have my own website, I don't have many people comment.
This will change, as I was talking with Jenny at Grow SEO, a SEO Agency based in Brisbane, and she recommended that posting to my website, social media and google plus accounts would increase my website profile and get more people following me and increasing my interactions with other bloggers.
Social media certainly is not my strong point, but I have managed to open a Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account. The opportunity to post and have my posts automatically get added to my social media accounts is still a work in progress, one that I dearly want to learn to do myself.
Stay tuned for more from the so to be marketing guru Vince Gilmore!
As I sit here in my apartment, overlooking the below busy shops, wondering what to write about next. Should I try for a novel, or maybe another short story? These thing I ask myself what makes a great story and will people enjoy reading it.
I sit looking aimlessly out the window, while the house cleaner mops the floor around my feet. It brings me back into the room as she gives me a little nudge to move them out of the way. I smile at her and apologise for being in the way.
Lauretta had been cleaning my apartment for several years now and she also went to the same college as me. She still has a few years to go on her degree, and cleans part-time to pay her way. She has the most dark brown chestnut coloured hair and always wears it down. She complains that she thinks her ears stick out to much and tries to cover it with her long, thick smooth looking hair.
I walk over to the desk, and take my seat in front of my laptop...........What to write about......
After I graduated high school in 2012, I went straight to college, where I continued to pursue writing. High school was where I discovered an interest in history, studying history opened a new door in literature for me, I began reading historical novels and biographies. I ended up getting a master's degree in history with a minor in journalism. Learning about people from history and what their daily lives were like amazes me. I am absolutely entranced by the way authors vividly describe things like the different foods served in a meal or the colour and geography of the landscape around the characters. I find that I never tire of reading because I just keep finding new authors and titles that I love. Over the years I picked up other hobbies such as skateboarding, which I am very good at, but to this day books are still my first love. No matter where I go or what I do I always have a book with me, as well as a notebook for writing. I still write and continue to work on writing a book. It seems this will be a lifelong adventure that will hopefully end someday with my being a published author.
